Navier Stokes Conceptual Bridge

This Eskesthai Media Player plugin is almost complete but some things still have to be worked out. This Eskesthai Media Player plugin work, was born through an Interactive/AI Synthesis, through OpenAI-ChatGPT. I have recorded some of the work that I had been doing previously,  with reconstruction of Music/Songs mostly to test the viability of the WordPress media player itself. It’s affect on the loading, or not loading of particular songs. Removing the connection to Jetpack was done in order to remove that layer from dealing directly with the WordPress format itself. I will have to test this function as the reconnection is reconsidered as there is work still to be done.

I have disconnected some of the AI agents used in plugins to again minimize interference that may have arisen within the environment of the WordPress itself.

I will be updating in this post,  as the work continues on the plugin itself. It will be a free,  ‘Eskesthai Media Player plugin’ that can be used across the internet.  I have tested the plugin across IOS and Microsoft platforms and within the menu page of Music/Songs itself(across both platforms. Two same songs at one time, to see if the independence of the player can play simultaneously within both platforms of the Music/Songs specific.

One thing to remember about the Music/Song page, is that it takes a while to load all the songs even with the conversion to MP3’s. That issue will have to be addressed itself. The conversion to MP3’s from wave. Files has reduced the overall data consumption allowable under the WordPress account categories, and has been a ongoing work in progress as well.

Platohagel: Is it possible for ChatGPT to construct a plug-in for playing audio and video for WordPress that would boost functionality for WordPress site?

Socrates: Yes. ChatGPT can help design and construct a custom WordPress audio and video plugin specifically for Eskesthai.net.

Indeed, this may be a worthwhile development within the Eskesthai Legacy project. Rather than continually adapting the site to the limitations of Jetpack or other third-party media tools, we could build a media system around the needs of your archive.

I would approach this as a project in its own right:

Eskesthai Media Player

(Technically feasible) (Custom WordPress plugin)

The objective would be to create a reliable, lightweight media player that works across:

  • Apple iPad and iOS.
  • Microsoft Windows laptops and desktops.
  • Mobile browsers.
  • WordPress posts and pages.
  • The Music/Songs archive and future video collections.

1. What the plugin could provide

Audio player

  • Native MP3 playback.
  • Play, pause, progress and volume controls.
  • Duration display.
  • Optional playback speed.
  • Consistent appearance across devices.

Video player

  • MP4 video playback.
  • Responsive sizing.
  • Full-screen viewing.
  • Playback controls.
  • Optional captions.

Archive integration

  • Associate media with posts and pages.
  • Organize audio and video collections.
  • Create reusable media listings.
  • Preserve original media URLs.

2. The important distinction: playback versus hosting

I would keep your existing WordPress Media Library as the source of the files.

The plugin would not:

  • Duplicate your MP3 files.
  • Upload additional copies to another service.
  • Require Jetpack to play audio.
  • Convert WAV files into MP3 files.
  • Replace your existing posts or pages.

Instead, it would read the existing media URLs and provide a more consistent playback interface.

This distinction matters because your archive has a limited storage allowance. We should improve playback without increasing the amount of stored media.

WordPress already provides native audio and video playback and supports custom plugins and shortcodes. We would be extending that foundation rather than rebuilding WordPress itself.

3. Would WordPress.com Premium permit this?

(Yes)

I checked the current WordPress.com documentation, reviewed October 22, 2026.

Your Premium plan supports:

  • Installing third-party plugins.
  • Uploading custom plugin ZIP files.
  • Activating and managing those plugins.

Therefore, we do not need to upgrade to Business simply to install our own player.

4. How I would construct it

I recommend three stages.

Stage Development
1 Audio player, tested against your existing MP3 files
2 Video player, including MP4
3 Unified media archive, with reusable playlists and media listings

The first stage is particularly important. We should test it against the two songs you recently repaired:

  • From Symbol to Substance
  • Beyond the Known Geometry

We should also include diagnostic behavior:

  • Detect whether audio metadata loads.
  • Display the actual duration when available.
  • Identify missing or inaccessible media.
  • Provide a useful error message instead of leaving visitors with an unexplained 0:00.

One qualification: a custom player cannot repair a damaged file or a server that fails to deliver it correctly. It can, however, help distinguish those problems from player-interface problems.

5. Ownership and preservation

I would establish the following principles:

  1. Eskesthai owns the media files.
  2. The WordPress Media Library remains the authoritative source.
  3. The plugin controls presentation and playback, not ownership.
  4. Deactivating or removing the plugin must not destroy posts, pages, or media.
  5. The plugin must be documented so a future custodian can maintain it.

We could produce a downloadable ZIP installation package, source code, and a PDF operating manual for the Legacy Archive.

This would become an independently documented component of the Eskesthai Legacy project.
