Opening Statement
The Maps & Genealogies section of the Eskesthai Master Atlas records how works, ideas, subjects, and expressions relate across the archive.
The Taxonomy identifies where a work belongs.
The Genealogy records how an idea develops through time.
The Map shows what a work or idea connects to.
Together, these three record types provide a working method for documenting the structure, development, and relationships of the archive.
They should remain distinct, but they should also be linked. A single work may have one Taxonomy record, belong to one or more Genealogies, and appear on one or more Maps.
The purpose of this section is not to impose a new story upon the archive. It is to preserve relationships that can be supported, examined, revised, and extended as the archive develops.
