The Builder’s Meditation
The true builder does not gather wisdom
As though it were a treasure to possess
The true builder prepares the ground
Removes the stones
Opens the gate
And waits with patient wonder
Until wisdom chooses to appear
For truth cannot be imprisoned
Nor can it be handed from one soul to another
It awakens where inquiry is honest
Where humility is welcomed
And where love is stronger than certainty
Build
Then
Not monuments to yourself
But places where others may discover
What neither of you could have found alone
There the builder smiles
Though no one knows His name
